Technology Though Time
Technology has been around a long time.
The wheel, for instance, is a prime example. However, when we think of
technology, it's usually the modern kind. Many chronicles exist of the rise of

magazine.
Popular Science is one such magazine. It has been around for over 130 years.
Now, it's
partnered
with Google to present the PopSci Archives. Every
Popular Science magazine is available in
digital
form for free browsing. You can search through the archive for any topic or

Most people don't think too much about
volcanoes. There are more immediate natural and man-
made disasters
to worry about. Still, volcanoes are hard to ignore when they erupt. Recent
news
has brought
volcanoes back into the public consciousness. Fortunately, the USGS (
Geological Survey) keeps track of
volcanic activity in the
data from
volcano observatories, along with threat assessments. Aviators can view
bulletins about
how volcanic activity is affecting flying
conditions. The USGS also provides information about how
volcanoes work. And it lists the various hazards associated
